I have always been a pet lover and owner, since I was a child. I have always surrounded myself with animals and as an adult, wanted a career that encapsulated this trait. My life took a different path (as they do!) and I have been a science teacher for over 20 years, but my love of dogs has just grown when I got my first working cocker spaniel. The learning curve was gargantuan, to say the least!
This new challenge has brought a different perspective to my life and a profession to my door and I am very excited where this new direction is taking me. I love nothing more than walking and training my dog, she is a joy and my best friend.
I have completed courses in first aid, dog walking and dog training. This personal development will continue and will widen my field of view and expertise in the area of dog walking and training.
My dog walking services will deliver a variety of terrain, enrichment for the active mind and fun for your furry companion. I have boundless enthusiasm and your dog will experience my positive energy and love, as if they were my own.
I am also offering a dog running service, for the more active breed that needs a more physically demanding time outdoors, this will allow them to cover longer distances (5-7 miles). This will be a smaller group and limited to morning groups only. This is greatly beneficial for your dog’s physical and mental wellbeing, as well as helping to maintain a healthy weight and build stronger muscles.
On all of my walks, runs or training session, I always carry a First Aid kit specifically for dogs, just in case of any eventuality, treats for positive reinforcement and water.
All walks will be off-road, either on the beautiful South Downs or on the beaches in the surrounding area.

I have 4 dog crates in the van that have been customised out of 20mm steel & mesh with lockable front doors (safety) & non lockable compression catches for the escape doors at the back (safety). They are crash tested and very robust. I also have a jump board to allow ease of access to and from the crates.
Only when necessary. I will give the dog’s a quick wash with a ‘mud daddy’ if they are dirty and towel dry if they wet.
This will be discussed when I have the initial meeting with you and your dog.
Only if this has been agreed with the client.
I carry clean water with me during every walk and I have water bowls and 5litres of clean water in the van. The dogs will be offered water during and after the walk.
